ABSOLUT launches Bling-Bling Campaign for the Holidays

This holiday season sees the launch of the ABSOLUT BLING-BLING Gift Pack – a golden, form-fitted plastic cover.

The writing on the golden gift pack really says it all – the campaign is all about bling-bling, and a tribute to all the style icons within the “more-is-more” segment.

“The campaign is a celebration of fun. In the last couple of decades, the phenomena of “blinging something up”, be it your mobile phone or your car, has spread from very specific groups to become a whole new style segment. This holiday, the ABSOLUT VODKA bottle has some new threads to wear and it looks good”, says Eva Kempe-Forsberg, Vice President Marketing at V&S Absolut Spirits.

Apart from the gift packaging itself, the campaign includes advertising, a website presenting the full history of Bling-Bling (according to ABSOLUT VODKA) as well as promotional materials for on- and off-trade.

“We are very proud of our iconic bottle – with this solution we manage to give out consumers a beautiful and fun holiday gift pack without having to cover up the bottle shape. We introduced the concept with the ABSOLUT SECOND SKIN for last year’s holiday season and it proved to be a huge success”, says Andreas Berggren, Vice President International at V&S Absolut Spirits.
