V&S has sold the brand Heering Cherry Liqueur to the Swedish company Danish Liqueur AB. The brand has been part of the V&S brand portfolio since 1999 when De Danske Spritfabrikker was acquired.

“Our core categories are vodka, aquavit and bitters and other classic brands that suit our portfolio. Heering is therefore not one of our priority products. Developing the brand would need an owner with a different focus, which is why we are selling the brand,” says Rolf Cassergren, President V&S Distillers.

Heering Cherry Liqueur is available on several markets and is known as an ingredient in the classic drink Singapore Sling, for example. The owners of Danish Liqueur AB also own The Xanté Company.
